Keypads are the most important piece of equipment in your security system. You will use them to arm and disarm, check the systems status and to send a panic signal if there is a police, fire, or medical emergency situation. They are so easy to use that most children can easily operate them.

Motion detectors are a very effective internal trap. They detect the movement of body heat as it moves through the protected area. Your system can be armed with or without the motion detector depending on the circumstances. See pet proof detectors on the options page.

Smoke detectors turn a burglar alarm into a security system. The type that come with your home or are purchased at the hardware store are excellent. But what if no one is home to hear the noise and call the fire department? A smoke detector installed with a security system does it all. It will set off a different sounding tone in the siren and most important, it will call the central station and they will dispatch the fire department.
Heat detectors go where smoke detectors shouldn’t because of the environment: unfinished basements, garages and attics. If this detector senses extreme heat or a sharp rise in temperature it will activate just as a smoke detector would.

Sirens are the first line of defense. They are meant to scare off an intruder and alert the homeowner to a break in or a fire.
